My son’s 18 year-old friend came over for a pool party last week, and I couldn’t help but notice he’s all grown up. I mean, he’s like a young Antonio Banderas. I’m a hot divorced mom playing the field and wondering: how young is too young?

Here's our take on the whole issue:
We’ve got no problem with women robbing the cradle a bit. After all, most of Hollywood seems to be doing it (Antonio Banderas himself has made it work with a more mature Melanie Griffith). But it’s not a matter of age in this case, according to therapist and author Dr Block; it’s about not freaking out your son! If you’re looking for a boy toy, there’s enough of them in Phoenix that have no direct connection to your son. Spare him the emotional scarring of knowing one of his friends is doing the nasty with his mom.

I agree. That would not be a pleasant experience at all for your son. Not only would he lose a friend, he would probably be pretty freaked out by the idea. It may be convenient because his friend is around but… that’s equivalent to dating a close friend’s ex. You can find someone else without ostracizing someone close to you.
