Can Drew Barrymore & Justin Long Go the Distance?

Justin Long and Drew Barrymore are ridiculously adorable together, and frankly, we wish they’d cut it out with this on-again-off-again crap. Whether or not they’re actually together, it’s lucky for us (and unluckily for the press) that they have an awesome shared sense of humor. Case in point: they had to have known that their cutesy-wootsy-flirtsiness at the London premiere of Going The Distance would make the media pee its collective pant suits. Now, all the news sources are like, “ZOMG LOL THEY R SO IN LUV!!!11!!” and Long’s making sure to stoke that insanity even more.

New York Magazine quotes him as saying that he and Drew have, “been on quite a journey. And the idea that a person that you’re in a relationship with can change you so drastically and have that deep of an effect on your life, just that idea, I mean, what a gift to be able to use that [in the movie], to be able to create something from it that we can see again.”

As entertainment reporters run in circles trying to figure out whether or not that’s an admission of a relationship, you just know that Long and Barrymore are off somewhere, giggling about all the brouhaha. And as they have a good-natured laugh at our folly, Moonit’s finding out if these guys are as golden as they seem to be.

According to their birth date analysis, “this one’s a keeper.” Drew (born on February 22, 1975) and Justin (born on June 2, 1978) don’t need to worry about that whole “absence makes the heart grow fonder” thing. In this case, Moonit says it’s more like, “don’t let each other out of your sight.” Why? They’ll want to stick close together because they “have it all: physical attraction, emotional support and a solid friendship to base it on.”

Their romantic assessment goes on to say that “even their most cynical friends–the ones who think 50-Cent’s lyrics are too sentimental–are rooting for these two.” But why is this duo so harmonious? “When they’re not making Cupid nauseous with their constant canoodling, they’re both super empathetic and instinctively attuned to each other’s needs and moods.”

Plus, “they’re pretty great at sussing out the roots of each other’s opinions and feelings, so when one of them cops an attitude, the other can quickly talk them down.” To sum up, “not only do they make a great couple now, but they’d also have a terrific married life, and their future family would make the Brady Bunch look dysfunctional.” Our advice? “Get married and have a billion kids” because “the world can’t lose with a bunch of little hybrids of these two running around.”
