Not long ago, we were all, Yay, super-stud Ryan Phillippe! Yay for getting together with adora-blonde Amanda Seyfried! Since the two are keeping things pretty low-key, we wonder if they’ll every change their minds and make things exclusive. (Babiez? Please with the babiez?) And in an even weirder twist, both couples delivered almost identical statements, essentially saying that, while their marriages have gone the way of the dodo, the beeper, and Bruce Jenner’s face looking human, they still remain dedicated to their wonderful progeny.

Man alive. Is every Hollywood couple already in limbo/totally devoted to single parenting, and we just don’t know yet? And why are Xtina and Bratman the latest victims of this bizarre trend? Moonit’s on the case.

According to their birth dates, Christina (born December 18, 1980) and Jordan (born June 4, 1977) were suffering from a big ol’ case of “domestic bliss that can bore you to tears.” Moonit’s assessment reveals that “they can go days without arguing, and they rarely fight.” But that’s good, right? Well, kinda. Moonit puts these two on the spot, asking them “While your overall agreement can make for some fun times, what happened to the spice…the fire…the ripping each other’s clothes off with reckless abandon that you two were all about in the very beginning?”

Christina and Jordan’s romantic results go on to say that “Because they generally see eye-to-eye, it’s easy for them to put their relationship on auto-pilot,” so they’re “likely to have great careers and financial successes, but it’s only because there isn’t much ‘action’ to distract them.” Yeah, that sounds just about right, considering Christina’s racked up a gazillion grammies in their five plus years of togetherness and was named the 19th richest woman in entertainment by Forbes.

And the boredom factor appears to be spot on as well, given USMagazine’s report that insiders claimed “They were very much in love…but over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife,” adding that Aguilera ” proposed their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.” A little too late?

News recently broke that, after one adorable daughter and 11 years of improbable togetherness, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are calling it quits. Not to rub salt in the wound, but to be totally honest, we never really…got it.Courteney has always been elegant and accessible, while David’s public image consistently paints him as a world-class doofus. Not that there’s anything wrong with doofuses (doofii?).

It’s just that Courteney always seemed like the type who’d really enjoy Jon Stewart, while David seemed like he’d rather spend an evening with a hand buzzer and a whoopie cushion. Why did these opposites finally lose their attraction? Or were they more similar than they seemed? Moonit’s here to find out.
