Chuck Bass and Vanessa, XOXO
What do you think?
Yeah. yeah. We know: your “girlfriend makes you watch it.” Whatever your excuse, if one of your guilty pleasures is Gossip Girl, you probably think that Uptown Ed Westwick (”Chuck Bass”) and Brooklynite Jessica Szohr (”Vanessa Abrams”) make quite the oddball couple.
After all, Chuck’s one-time hookup with Vanessa was just that–a calculated move designed to piss off their significant others. This season, Chuck’s quite the player, shooting down a million advances while actually trying to stay true to Blair. Meanwhile, Vanessa’s got a boyfriend…just in time for Dan to finally come to his senses and realize he loves her. And so the world turns, hospitals are general, and like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of “Gossip Girl.”
Honestly, it’s amazing that with this much on-screen drama, Szohr and Westwick have managed to keep their off-screen romance so stable for so long. Jessica even brought the Brit home to meet the fam, and insists he totally fits in with the Wisconsin-dive-bar scene. We’d like to believe it, but as always, we look to the Moonit Meter for the true answers.
According to the analysis, Westwick might just be destined for a lifetime of Midwest happy hours; their read-out says that, since it feels like they’ve been friends forever, these two should definitely, “take the plunge!” The romantic assessment goes on to say that, “there’s no better partner in crime when they’re out on a rampage, but it’s even cool when they’re just hanging out, listening to music and talking all night.”
In an art-imitates-life moment, this is one of those things that creeps up on friends, “somehow when they weren’t looking, they went from best buds to wanting a whole lot more. It’s a scary realization; they’re incredibly tight, so that means there’s a lot on the line.” All said, it’s a good thing they went for it. According to Moonit, “they might just be in for some long-term bliss.”

you might notice that this piece is from december of 2009. we recently did an updated piece on the couple: http://moonit.com/blogs/stars/ed-westwick-jealous-much/
Uhhmm, you know they broke up right? Go to http://www.perezhilton.com . Jessica apparently cheated on Ed with one of his friends. Also, Leighton Meester broke up with Sebastian Stan. So either you need to have better sources, or Perez is wrong, like he is about many rumours.
lol.

Great question Nichole. Moonit doesn’t work off sun signs, which provide a very general direction and have a high margin of error. It uses exact birthdate to birthdate analysis that pulls the strongest weighted aspect (in this case Venus Sextile Venus) from the two people’s composite chart. This aspect determines the overriding dynamic in the relationship. It’s a more specific way of analyzing relationship potential (you could get even more specific by using birth time and location)! Use Moonit for yourself to find out…

I don’t understand how that is translated. Their sun signs are obviously uncompatable (Jessica – Aries & Ed – Cancer) Is it just their Venus placement used to determine long term compatability?
