Cute Couple Alert: Kate and Alex

If you insist on canoodling at every after-party, why bother denying rumors that you’re dating? That’s what we’ve been asking ourselves about self-professed “single” actors Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgård. (You may know him as Eric Northman, the dangerously hot vampire from HBO’s True Blood) After their latest, “We’re totally not a couple! Frenching is just the way we, uh, communicate” sighting at this week’s Golden Globes, Moonit decided to examine whether the part-time lovers have anything in common besides hair color and heavy hookups.

According to Moonit’s analysis, Alex (born August 25, 1976) and Kate (born January 2, 1983), “immediately knew they shared a thirst for excitement, a longing for adventure and a lust for life.” (Intense, much?) There’s no denying there was an “insta-bond already in place” when these two met, but is that enough to get something substantive going?

Let’s look at the details. Kate’s the one who, “can really get him psyched up and inspired with all her optimism, even when things are looking pretty bleak.” Meanwhile, Alex is, “likely to take the lead and keep things running with his boundless energy.” Their reading goes on to say that, “even though things can get chaotic” with Alex around, Kate can always, “keep him in check and make sure things are planned in advance.”

Moonit contends that the pairing makes for an, “exciting and possibly exhausting combination”–one that they’ll both “thoroughly enjoy.”  Okay, you crazy kids; you’ve got our blessing. Give us a break with this “we’re just friends” crap, and go make little blonde babies.
