Gavin & Gwen’s Girl Trouble
What do you think?
As artist/cultural icon Andy Warhol once said, “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” In related news, Courtney Love must be incapable of telling time, because she’s exceeded her token 15 by, oh, say, forever. Now that she’s got a new album Nobody’s Daughter to hawk, the Hole frontwoman is extending her time in the PR limelight with some nasty allegations about former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.

According to Love, she and a married Rossdale carried on an eight-month affair, and Rossdale’s wife, Gwen Stefani, was even in the know. (Love’s pulpit for the revelation? The Howard Stern Show. Stay classy, Courtney.) Sadly, this isn’t the first hit the Stefani-Rossdale pairing has taken. Six years ago, a paternity test proved that Rossdale was the father of artist Pearl Lowe’s lovechild. And recently, androgynous singer Marilyn asserted that he and Rossdale had a five-year, same-sex lovefest. Sheesh. For a relationship dogged with this much drama, do Gwen and Gavin stand a long-term chance? Moonit’s got the scoop.
According to their birth date analysis, Gavin (born on October 30, 1966) and Gwen (born on October 3, 1969) are pretty much “on the same page.” Generally speaking, Gwen likes whatever Gavin likes, and vice-versa…no matter how strange that “whatever” may be. Their reading reveals that, “there’s a good measure of physical attraction, but it’s not the kind that makes them want to tear each other’s clothes off or obsess over the phone to see if they’re got new messages.” That seems like a good thing, because in our experience, fixation and stalking don’t exactly make for a solid relationship. (That is, unless you’re Brad and Angie, in which case, they’re a prerequisite.)
Moonit asserts that, “[Gavin]‘ll soon find it’s easier to cope with a girl who he’s super attracted to but doesn’t give him heart palpitations every couple of minutes.” We knew it! Extra-marital affairs (and Courtney’s various STDs) be damned! Moonit sees Gwen and Gavin’s as being 2-GETHA 4-EVA; “since your relationship isn’t just founded on all-out lust, it’s much more likely to stand the test of time.”

The key to this long-term relationship? Mutual appreciation. “He’s into the fact that she’s willing to change her life around to make sure he’s comfortable in it, and she’s smart enough to be grateful, because he was the one who got her out of a serious rut when he walked into her life…As a result, they’re great at collaborating on joint projects and getting things done together.”
