Joe & Demi Are Dunzo: We Told You So

What do you think?

It’s a sad day in Disneyland: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas are officially dunzo after a couple months of togetherness. By official, we obviously mean that Demi poured her heart out on Twitter, the preferred break-up news dissemination channel:

“There are so many crazy rumors flying around today. I’d like to clear a few things up. First, Joe and I did split but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already. Nothing is more important to me than the relationship I have with my fans.. Just thought you guys should know this.”

Hear what Moonit had to say about Taylor’s post-Joe relationship with her co-star.

Who could have seen the mouseketeer mismatch coming? Umm… Moonit. We took a look into our Magic Kingdom crystal ball to see if the picture-perfect pair were the real deal a few months ago:

We hate to burst a teen heartthrob bubble, but there might be trouble a-brewin’ in Epcot. According to their birth date analysis, Joe (born on August 15, 1989) and Demi (born on August 20, 1992) are likely to have major communication issues.

Moonit explains that, “unless these two plan to date mind readers for the rest of their lives, they’re going to need to learn how to express their feelings to one another like grown-ups… It’s hard enough to nurture a real relationship, but it’s even tougher to go the distance if you don’t know how to tell the person you care about what you actually need.”

Their romantic assessment offers up some helpful follow-ups: “your homework assignment (should you choose to accept it) is to get in touch with yourselves, figure out what you really want, and articulate it to each other. If you do, you guys’ll have a real shot at building the life you truly deserve.”

Since their romantic life doesn’t look so rosy (and since Demi’s been blabbing about how she and Joe are “best friends”), Moonit decided to check out their potential on the buddy-buddy front. Lo and behold, they fare way better as pals than partners. “Think Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox…George Clooney and Brad Pitt…Bert and Ernie. The two of you should have no problem getting along, and from where we’re standing, there’s major potential for a long-term, ultra-positive friendship.”

Find out what’s in store for your relationships on Moonit!

And what’s even more interesting is that their professional compatibility ranks head-and-shoulders above all their other stats. Moonit notes that Joe isn’t, “the only one to notice that they’ve got quite the positive symbiosis going; he respects Demi’s thoughts and opinions, and in turn, his receptivity encourages her to share even more of her normally quiet brilliance.”

Maybe they’re better off playing opposite each other in rom-coms than going for broke with a real-life relationship. If they limit their relationship to screen and studio time, it looks like they’ll have a Disney-level payday. We hope that’s enough to get them through the awkwardness of the Jonas Brothers/Demi Lovato tour coming up this summer!
