Serena and Common: Game-Set-Match or Double Fault?

This past week, actor/rapper Common (a.k.a. Lonnie Rashied Lynn, Jr.) did the daytime rounds to hawk his new rom-com Just Wright. After his appearance on Ellen, we’re guessing Common’s PR flack didn’t exactly teach him the finer points of promotion; Common had quite a bit more to say about his personal life than his big-screen billing.
Marketing gaffe aside, Common’s loose lips were extra weird, especially since Ellen started nudging him about his relationship with tennis powerhouse Serena Williams. Usually, when talk show hosts bring up wedding bells, dudes squirm like they’ve been hit with a taser. Oddly, Common had the opposite reaction: “I definitely want to get married. I would love to get married and have kids.”
Since Common’s all about some long-term Williams love, Moonit’s taking a look to see if this is game-set-match or a double fault. (We had to work a tennis pun in there somewhere. And yes–we know what we did, and we’re sorry.)
According to their birth date analysis, Serena (born on September 26, 1981) and Common (born on March 13, 1972) are involved in, “one of those relationships that’s going to change more often than Madonna’s accent.” Their romantic assessment indicates that, “since [their relationship is] constantly in flux, we really can’t put our finger on what their long-term prognosis is.”
Fortunately, Moonit offers up a word of advice to the couple: “Be glad you’ve got such a wacky dynamic and someone to spice up your life. If you’re up for a roller coaster ride, we’d advise you to keep in touch with this one.” Hmmm. If Serena’s temper off the court is anything like her competitive flare-ups, we can see why there’s drama in the air.
Since they started off as friends, Moonit also took a peek into their platonic prognosis. “The two of them should have no problem getting along, and–from where we’re standing–there’s major potential for a long-term, ultra-positive friendship.”
What’s their secret? “If we had to pick their most prominent strength, it’d probably be their ability to communicate; they’re both eerily skilled at knowing exactly how to talk to each other.” A solid friendship is a great foundation for building long-term love, but whatever happens, we hope Common’s next PR circuit isn’t to tell the world about his engagement; he’ll probably wind up talking about his acting career instead.

Great article. When I was just starting out, I searched all over the web for about a year for methods on how to build muscles.
