Simon Reunites With Paula at Am Idol Farewell

American Idol’s Wednesday night sendoff for Simon Cowell had everything we expected. Laughter. Tears. Dane Cook. But the one thing we didn’t see coming? The lovefest between Simon and ur-judge Paula Abdul. The two publicly reunited for the first time since Paula bailed, and the ever off-kilter Abdul gamely joked about a Simon-y lovechild.

An unexpected benefit: the resulting mental images have provided excellent birth control for at least three developed nations. Is it all a big joke, or is there really an Abdul-Cowell spark? Moonit’s out to see what’s going on behind the music.
